Exchange, Warranty & Refund Policy

Refresh

This Exchange, Warranty & Refund Policy applies to products purchased from PureGlare Pty Ltd ("PureGlare", "we", "us" or "our").

This Policy applies in addition to, and does not limit or exclude, any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other applicable law.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our voluntary warranty periods described below are additional warranties provided by PureGlare. They do not replace or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

A product may therefore have consumer guarantee rights that continue beyond the stated warranty period, depending on the circumstances and the nature of the product.

* "Free Shipping" refers to PureGlare's applicable shipping policy and does not necessarily mean that all return, exchange or warranty-related shipping costs are covered.

Where a genuine OEM product is expressly covered by a manufacturer's warranty, the manufacturer's warranty terms may apply in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Warranty Claims

Before approving a warranty claim, PureGlare may reasonably require the product to be returned for inspection, testing or assessment.

Depending on the nature of the problem and whether it is covered by the PureGlare voluntary warranty or the Australian Consumer Law, PureGlare may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement or refund.

For a minor problem, PureGlare may generally choose to repair the product or provide another appropriate remedy as permitted by law.

Where a product has a major failure and the Australian Consumer Law applies, the consumer may be entitled to choose between a refund and replacement, subject to the applicable law.

4. Warranty Exclusions

The PureGlare voluntary warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

These exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not exclude or limit any rights a consumer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. DOA Products

Certain products, including halogen slide/film projector lamps and projector air filters, are covered by a Dead on Arrival (DOA) warranty only.

For the purposes of this voluntary warranty, a product is considered DOA where it is found to be defective or non-functional upon initial installation or first reasonable use, provided that the problem was not caused by incorrect installation, misuse, incorrect voltage, incompatible equipment, physical damage or another excluded circumstance.

Because halogen lamps are consumable products with an inherently limited operating life, the PureGlare voluntary warranty for halogen slide/film projector lamps is limited to DOA.

This DOA limitation does not exclude any rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

PureGlare may require reasonable evidence of the problem and may require the product to be returned for inspection.

6. Installation, Removal and Ancillary Costs

PureGlare's voluntary warranty does not cover the cost of installation, removal, reinstallation, servicing or other ancillary work associated with a product.

This includes, where applicable:

However, nothing in this section excludes a consumer's right to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage where such compensation is available under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. No Fault Found

If a product returned for assessment is found to have no fault, PureGlare may contact the customer and explain the assessment result.

Where permitted by law, a reasonable inspection or service fee of up to $50 may apply, together with any applicable return shipping charges and any reasonable inspection or rejection fees charged by an authorised service centre.

PureGlare will notify the customer before charging any applicable fee where reasonably practicable.

A "No Fault Found" assessment does not prevent a customer from exercising rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Change of Mind Returns

PureGlare is not required by the Australian Consumer Law to provide a refund, replacement or exchange solely because you have changed your mind.

A change-of-mind return includes circumstances such as:

However, PureGlare may, at its discretion, approve a change-of-mind return or exchange in certain circumstances.

A customer does not have an automatic right to return a product merely because the customer has changed their mind.

A change-of-mind return is separate from a claim relating to a faulty, defective, damaged, unsafe or otherwise non-compliant product.

9. Conditions for Approved Change-of-Mind Returns

Prior approval from PureGlare is required before returning a product under a voluntary change-of-mind return, unless otherwise required by law.

PureGlare may issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) or other return instructions.

Contacting PureGlare about a return, or sending a product back without approval, does not by itself constitute acceptance of the return or approval of a refund.

Return & Warranty Request Form

Unauthorised returns may be refused or returned to the customer at the customer's expense, subject to applicable law.

Customers should not send products back until PureGlare has provided return instructions.

Where PureGlare agrees to accept a change-of-mind return, the following conditions generally apply:

  1. The customer must return the product within the timeframe specified by PureGlare.
  2. Proof of purchase must be provided.
  3. The customer is responsible for return postage and shipping costs.
  4. The product must be returned in new, unused and resalable condition, together with its original packaging and accessories.
  5. Products showing signs of use, installation, damage or modification may not qualify for a change-of-mind refund or exchange.
  6. Where permitted by law and agreed as part of the approved change-of-mind return, a reasonable restocking fee of 10%–20% may apply depending on the product and condition.
  7. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
  8. Where the original order received free shipping, PureGlare may deduct a reasonable amount representing the original shipping cost, where permitted by law and disclosed as part of the approved change-of-mind return.
  9. Any approved refund will generally be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

These conditions apply to change-of-mind returns only. They do not apply to returns or remedies arising from a failure to comply with the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Incorrect Product or Compatibility

Customers are responsible for checking product compatibility before ordering where compatibility depends on the particular model, equipment, specification or application.

PureGlare provides product information to assist customers in selecting suitable products. However, where compatibility is uncertain, customers should contact PureGlare before purchasing.

If a product does not match its description, is not fit for a purpose expressly communicated to PureGlare, or otherwise fails to comply with an applicable consumer guarantee, the customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this section.

11. Damaged Products on Delivery

If a product arrives damaged, please contact PureGlare as soon as reasonably practicable and provide photographs or other relevant information that may assist us in assessing the issue.

PureGlare may request photographs, packaging information, delivery information or return of the product for assessment.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, PureGlare will generally process the refund using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

A refund will not necessarily be available simply because a customer requests one. Whether a refund is available depends on the reason for the return, the condition of the product, the applicable voluntary warranty and, where relevant, the customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Exchanges

Where permitted under this Policy, PureGlare may offer an exchange for another product of the same or similar type.

For change-of-mind exchanges, any price difference, return postage, shipping costs or other applicable charges will be the customer's responsibility.

Where a replacement is required under the Australian Consumer Law, PureGlare will provide the applicable remedy in accordance with the law.

14. Products Purchased for Business Use

Some purchases made by businesses may be covered by the Australian Consumer Law, depending on the circumstances.

For example, certain business purchases may qualify as consumer purchases under the ACL, including goods costing less than the applicable statutory threshold or goods ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or limit any applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Manufacturer Warranties

Some genuine OEM products may be subject to a manufacturer's warranty in addition to PureGlare's policies.

Where applicable, PureGlare will provide reasonable assistance in dealing with the relevant manufacturer or authorised service provider.

However, PureGlare remains responsible for its obligations to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law where those obligations apply.

16. How to Make a Return or Warranty Request

To start a return, warranty or refund request, please contact PureGlare or submit a request through our online return/request form:

PureGlare may request further information or require the product to be returned for inspection before determining the appropriate remedy.

17. Important Notice

This Policy is intended to explain PureGlare's voluntary warranty, exchange and change-of-mind arrangements.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

Where there is any inconsistency between this Policy and a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will apply.
